Disaster Preparedness (July 2021)
This month, we’ll be focusing on disaster preparedness. Here are some simple things you can do each week this month to help you and your family get ready:
Week 1: You can do a lot to get ready for a disaster before it happens. This fantastic blog post contains a simple, 6-item kit of things you can assemble for each person in your family. The 2-minute video shows how to secure the kit to each person's bed and how to use it in an emergency.
Tip 1: Use an old pillowcase if you don't have a bag. Tip 2: When you replace a pair of tennis shoes, put the old ones in the grab-and-go bag. Today I learned that the world emphasizes "prepping" while the church emphasizes "provident living."
