Emergency Kits (August 2021)
This month, we’ll be focusing on the things you may need in the first 3 days after a major disaster. We will work on a different part each week. You will need to adapt the lists we share with you to work for your own family’s needs and budget. We'll be focusing on building emergency kits for different types of uses (car kits, college student kits, first aid kits, pet kits, etc.).

August 15: Pet Emergency Kits
In addition to planning for people, we also need to plan how we’ll take care of our pets in an emergency!

It is also a good idea to put decals on your windows that alert emergency crews that there are pets inside. Be sure to leave a note if you evacuate your pets with you so that emergency crews know not to worry about rescuing them. You can download free decals here: Pet Safety Pack (Window Decals)
