WORKSHOP PURPOSE: The purpose of this workshop is to support middle and high school world language teachers in creating performance-based assessment tasks and rubrics that develop learners’ target language skills in the interpersonal and presentational modes of communication.
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: Do you ever find it hard to help learners see how much they know and can do with their target language skills? Have you ever wondered how to assess interpersonal communication in limited amounts of time? Do you ever feel uncomfortable assigning grades to student projects? This interactive workshop will help you to expand your palette of strategies for artfully assessing students’ communication skills in the interpersonal and presentational modes.
